Pregnancy Survey~ 26 weeks

How Far Along: 26 Weeks

Size of baby: The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Total weight gain is about 19ish pounds. (just guessing)

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Movement: Lots of movement, feeling her all throughout the day! I am sometimes able to feel her kicks on the outside!

Gender: Baby GIRL-- Olivia Ann

What I miss:  Diet Coke

Sleep: No problems falling asleep or getting comfortable

Symptoms: Trying to get up off the floor is getting harder.  Also, carrying Hailey around is much more difficult.

Cravings: Pizza and Chiptole

What I am looking forward to: Glucose test next Tuesday and we get to schedule our C-section date as well.  Next Wednesday, I go in for another high risk ultrasound!  Love seeing my baby girl on the screen!

Pregnancy Survey~ 25 weeks

How Far Along: 25 Weeks. Only 15 more to go (wow! that's crazy).

Size of baby: Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Total weight gain is about 17-18 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Movement: Lots of movement, feeling her all throughout the day!  This past week she has been somewhat quiet-- still kicks but not as many as before or maybe I am just used to them more now.

Gender: Baby GIRL-- Olivia Ann

What I miss:  Nothing this week!

Sleep: No problems falling asleep or getting comfortable

Symptoms: My feet are sore at the end of the day. It's hard to bend over and pick up things-- belly is getting in the way!

Cravings: Sweets and Nacho Cheese Doritos

Pregnancy Survey~ 24 weeks

How Far Along: We are now 24 weeks pregnant! Time is flying.

Size of baby: Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts her at just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), s he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Total weight gain is about 17-18 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Movement: Lots of movement, feeling her all throughout the day!  This past week she has been quite active in the middle of the night

Gender: Baby GIRL-- Olivia Ann

What I miss:  Nothing

Sleep: Awesome!! No problems falling asleep or getting comfortable

Symptoms: My feet are sore at the end of the day. It's hard to bend over and pick up things-- belly is getting in the way!

Cravings: Nothing in particular

Pregnancy Survey~ 23 weeks

How Far Along: 23 weeks

Size of baby: Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing his for entry into the outside world.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I gained 1 pound since my last doctor appointment.  Hailey and I celebrated with ice cream tonight!  Total weight gain is about 17 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Movement: Lots of movement, feeling her all throughout the day!  Friday, I was actually able to feel the movement on the outside!!

Gender: Baby GIRL

What I miss: Lunch meat

Sleep: Awesome!! No problems falling asleep or getting comfortable

Symptoms: My feet are sore at the end of the day.  It's also not comfortable to sit on the floor anymore.

Cravings: Rice Krispy Bars and Chiptole (especially the chips from there)

What I am looking forward to:  Hailey is completely moved into her new room. I put the crib back together last weekend.  This weekend I am going to take Hailey to Pottery Works to paint some pottery.  Also, we are planning on going to the Arts Market on Saturday morning.,  Also, I am going to have someone get down all the baby stuff from the attic so I can start washing it and seeing what we still need to buy.
